Cookie Policy

Effective date: August 17, 2026

This explains the cookies and similar technologies used on https://poorjudgmentco.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Small files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember your cart between pages, keep you logged in, measure how the site is used, and — for advertising cookies — recognize the same browser across different sites.

We also use similar technologies: local storage, pixels (tiny invisible images that fire when a page loads), and server-side tracking, where our server sends event data directly to a partner rather than your browser doing it.

What we use

Strictly necessary — always on

Without these the store does not function. They cannot be switched off.

Purpose Examples
Cart contents and checkout cart, cart_ts, checkout_token (Shopify)
Session and login _secure_session_id, secure_customer_sig (Shopify)
Security, bot and fraud detection _cmp_a, Shopify fraud analysis
Remembering your cookie choices our consent cookie

Analytics — optional

Tell us in aggregate what people look at and where they get stuck.

Purpose Examples
Shopify store analytics _shopify_y, _shopify_s, _y, _s

Advertising — optional

Used to measure and target our advertising, mostly on Meta platforms.

Purpose Examples
Meta pixel — browser ID and click ID _fbp, fbc
Meta Conversions API Server-side; sends purchase and page-view events, including a hashed email address for matching

These advertising technologies constitute a "sale" or "share" of personal information under California and several other state privacy laws. Details, and how to opt out, are in Privacy Policy §4 and at Do Not Sell or Share.

Your choices

  • Our cookie banner. Set analytics and advertising cookies on or off. You can change it any

time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an

opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser automatically. You don't need to do anything else.

  • Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly

necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout.

  • On Meta's side. facebook.com/adpreferences and accountscenter.facebook.com.
  • Industry opt-outs. optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.

Opting out of advertising cookies does not mean you stop seeing our ads. It means they stop being targeted using your data.

Third parties

Cookies set by Shopify, Meta and our payment providers are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control what they do with data they collect directly.

Changes

We update this page when our tooling changes. The effective date at the top shows when.
